There it was on the shelf by the other yogurt, just hanging out, innocently awaiting discovery:
Greek yogurt! And if that’s not great enough, by golly, it’s local Greek yogurt, made by Stonyfield Farm. Yippee!
In my quest for local food, it’s breakfast that I’ve found most challenging so far, as I’ve started back to school and [...]

My veggie guy noticed I got a haircut!
When was the last time your supermarket/big box store/WalMart checkout guy/gal noticed that you got a haircut?
And then he said, “Well, it looks great, and I saved some potatoes for you because you were asking about them the other day. I hoped you’d be in…”

Here’s my local meal for this week, and darn it if it wasn’t quite yummy (last night and today for lunch with a nice, local melon).
I sauteed a pound of RockFarm ground beef in a skillet and drained off most of the fat, then added onions, garlic, green peppers, bannana peppers, red peppers, zucchini, tomatoes [...]

Alas, I find myself rising at 5:30a.m. in order to be at school by 6:45a.m., and falling into the same workaday challenges most folks face. While I work twelve months a year, I enjoy an admittedly flexible summer schedule that has allowed me ample time to really develop my local food obsession. But [...]
