A quick-moving snowstorm blew in this afternoon, resulting in our school’s holiday concert being postponed. Old time New Englanders are always spouting off about what a bunch of sissies we all are with this snow cancellation stuff. After all, they used to just drive slower. Now, we’ve got two inches of snow and we close everything down. Heaven forbid we drive our fancy four-wheel drive vehicles anywhere!
This meant an evening with a little more time for cooking dinner, though, so this week’s meal is a little more exciting than soup.

We enjoyed Rock Farm pork tenderloin with a pan sauce made from leftover cranberry sauce, balsamic vinegar and some honey. Alongside that was the requisite acorn squash from the giant squash basket.

Yes, that is a pretty giant pat of butter. Yes, my last post was about lard. What, exactly are you getting at? Geesh.
