Goodness gracious, are you still there? I’m afraid my little spot on the web here has been sorely neglected while I went galivanting across Italy (and, as a bonus, spent an unplanned night in Amsterdam!).
Well, I’m happy to say that all of us (me and my husband, my parents and my brother) survived the trip, and even managed to have a great time. While I did snap photos of the famous landmarks (this time, the photos are mine):
I also snapped some local food and food customs. Perhaps you will enjoy these shots of Italy’s food while I continue to recover!
I love that Europeans continue to embrace the idea of buying your food from the expert (i.e. cheese from a cheesemaker, meat from a butcher, etc.)
Couldn’t resist the goodies!
Even Italians sometimes need some fast food (I’m not sure sure about pizza or pasta from a vending machine!).
On that note, for now, ciao!

Wonderful! What a great trip and the photos are fantastic! What a great way to concisely put a complicated idea – buying food from the expert just makes so much sense.
Hey, nice to have you back! Your pictures look great! I hope we’ll get to hear more about your trip. Thanks for dropping by my blog.
Thanks, ladies! I can’t get over how easy it is in Europe to pick up fresh, local food and cook it up for every meal. It has to be possible here – even (especially?) in rural areas. I’ve got to get on that!
