That pizza looks so good I'm almost drooling. I love seeing the break-down of where the ingredients come from, too. It's amazing what we can find when we start digging around.

What a gorgeous photo! Thanks for sharing. We're enjoying the color here in Oregon, too. More yellows than New England, but spectacular.

Julia: I did know that! You rock!

Jen: I don't think so this year. I think I'm going to steer clear of challenges for a while. But I WILL put it up here for folks to go sign up.

AVM was what did it for me, too! I had already declared myself a vegetarian for a year before I read the book (I had previously thought that was the only way to avoid the terrors created by the way our society generally harvests meat). In fact, when I began reading the book & either Barbara or her elder daughter mentioned that she was not vegetarian, I was shocked! They cleared things up for me, though, showing me that it isn't impossible to eat meat & be kind to animals at the same time. Personally, though, I've never really had a taste for meat so I'm stickin' with it. Still, I'm so glad to have had my eyes opened!

I now live just a few miles away from the headlight. Let me know if you're ever around again!

Glad you're back! No reason not to just make this whatever space you want it to be. I obviously write about a lot more than hens...

Are you going to join us this winter?
